Web Application Framework

Web Application Framework

The Web Application Framework features a multi-portal, content management architecture.

  • Multi-portal means a group of related web sites (or portals), controlled through a software program that permits interaction with a common database.
  • Content management allows the user to dynamically construct and maintain a web site directly through the browser, creating web pages and their content in a variety of functionally-rich, plug and play modules.

The development of multi-portal, content management software provides a number of advantages to organizations who require a highly responsive, functionally-rich web environment.

  • Versatile – Ideal for creating and deploying projects such as commercial web sites, corporate intranets and extranets, online publishing portals, and custom vertical applications.
  • User-Friendly – Designed to make it easy for users to manage all aspects of their projects; site wizards, help icons, and a well-researched user interface allow universal ease-of-operation.
  • Powerful –  Supports multiple web sites, called portals, off of one install.  In dividing administrative options between host level and individual portal level, administrators can manage any number of sites – each with their own look and identity – all off one hosting account.
  • Feature-Rich – Comes loaded with a set of built-in tools that provide powerful pieces of functionality.  Site hosting, design, content, security, and membership options are easily managed and customized through these tools.
  • Localized – Includes a multi-language localization feature which allows administrators to easily translate their projects and portals into other languages.

The Web Application Framework is built on  the latest Microsoft ASP.NET (VB.NET) platform.
